*sigh*. Generic, by-the-number, insipid, filled with jumpscares, terrible dialogue, etc… And, let’s not forget the stupid kids. This has become the universe of James Wan. This man is turning into another M. Night Shyamalan. He was interesting in the beginning, but now, creativity seems to have left him and his people. I really thought he was going to be the next director to change the horror genre, but he is not. He’s redundant, milking the same stories over and over again. And again, this was not scary. How unfortunate. What a disappointment this was.

I agree. He’s starting to try and appeal to the lowest common denominator, thereby losing the core audience that got him popular in the first place. This movie was very tedious.

Not a half bad take on the La Llorona mythology. For those who do not know, this is based on an old tale from Mexico. The CAM is watchable, the sound was not half bad either. It was able to keep my attention, and I enjoyed it. I mean, compared to most of the horror movies as of late, this one I really did enjoy. 3/5 stars from me.

Has it’s moments where it’s scary. OK flick. Quality of CAM is acceptable and not hard to watch. A few jiggles at the start but they don’t continue. 6/10
