I just realized that X-file was based on Project Blue Book. The captain is Scully and the professor is Molder.

Glad i waited for a few episodes to come out before i got into this..on episode 3 so far and i am really enjoying it..i always was fascinated with Roswell and the UFO phenomena and i DO agree that statistically speaking, considering how big the known Universe is and how big the UNKNOWN Universe must be, it is improbable that we here on Earth are the only ones lucky enough for the stars to align just right and the Earth being at just the right distance from the Sun to allow life to flourish on our little blue planet…I mean yeah, they say that for life to exist, a planet has to be a certain distance from its sun..too far away and its too cold, too close and its too hot…Earth is in just the right place….but that is considering only OUR knowledge of how life exists…for our form of life yes, we need certain things like that to have life here, but who is to say there aren’t other lifeforms who CAN exist on a planet further from its sun, or closer maybe? With that said, haven’t they discovered several earth-like planets already that are just the right distance from their Suns like earth is that life similar to our own MAY be possible on those planets? For me, it is incredibly arrogant of Humans to believe we are the only intelligent life in the Universe. The fact that WE exist shows that there is life in the Universe, so how can anyone honestly believe that we are alone? Now, the Doctor made a good point that based on the distance between stars and the speed of light and all that, and how long it would take to travel between Stars that the chances of us being visited are almost non-existent, but it is NOT impossible, just improbable. Personally, i believe there is life out there, what kind of life it is, well, who knows, but i am secure in my belief that life exists elsewhere. The very idea that it would be interested in us though, i don’t know about that..we are still a VERY young species in the grand scale of things, and i am sure that were there space faring life forms out there that there would be more interesting places to visit than a backwater blue planet…I am sure that “they” would want to visit a planet that has a similarily evolved society to their own..they would definitely have more in common with them than they would with Humans who, in their eyes, just invented the wheel for crying out loud lol. Any way, this show is right up my alley and i am enjoying it immensely so far. Thanks for having this here UB_kma !!

Oh look, It’s Littlefinger from GoT! On a serious note, I actually liked this once I realized that it was more about creating an entertaining story and less about accuracy. I like the cast & acting and I think it will get more interesting as the series goes on. The first episode was a little on the slow side, but it feels like they’re setting up the framework. The only thing I really didn’t care for was the minor hint at an sjw agenda in one of the plot lines, but it was subtle and we’ll see where it goes. I’m not opposed to that stuff at all, but I don’t think it really needs to be in every single show these days, especially when it’s nonessential and it does absolutely nothing to further the plot. Just my opinion…

Well, I watched the first episode last night and I’m not sure if they were going for sensationalism or fact sharing but either way it sure doesn’t feel authentic.
It feels more like X-files. I personally think they’ve just turned it into entertainment, which isn’t wrong or bad but it does seem to distort history.
Maybe I’m wrong but I’d sure like to see it in a more realistic context bc otherwise how do we get an idea of what’s real and what’s made up?
If that’s the case everything has to be dismissed, imo….but that’s not fair to the blue book story either….oh well. See where it goes from here.

You could always try reading his books to get the answers to your questions about all this.

No, I really don’t have any real questions bc like I mentioned earlier he’s flipped back and forth so there’s a credibility issue, as far as I’m concerned. So I’m sure much of what he’s published is likely skewed….I mean, he once also said he took photos of a UFO then went on later to say he’d never seen one….so which Hynek” do you believe?
So, what he’s published could be like most everyone else,…. they try to cash in.
I think the only way to really get to the bottom of things is to go through archived material (which I thought this might be then laid out in a fact based story) but now, bc of what “” I “” feel was wackiness in ep one alone, I don’t think it really is….I think it’s more an ‘inspired’ story.
But thanks for offering up the idea.

Thx UB, this should be fun.
Flipper (Hynek) was all over the map 8-/
Hell, I think eventually he even tried to sell sightings by some as EMPIRICAL evidence lol
Oooookay! ….(but aren’t pilots, cops, astronomers etc. just as susceptible to misrepresenting natural phenomena as anyone else?) lol
But tho I find it virtually impossible for UFOs to get here (thru timing and distance) I still find the stories fun so thx again for this one.

Last month brought in $35 in donations, which we are thankful for, but it was one of the lightest months on record.

Due to some changes, we will have no ad income for almost 2 months at this point.

If we can't raise enough in donations to safely keep things running we will have to allow some distasteful ads and more aggressive popups - which pay well, and quickly, but are not user friendly at all and disrupt the site experience.  They are also very hard to monitor and keep clean as their providers really don't care about users.

PayPal has been returned as a donation option, and Google Pay added, as well as crypto if desired.  Any amount helps! You can go HERE to help out.  PM ub_kma with any questions, or use the CONTACT form.
