Think I’ll start practicing these movements in the park. Wonder how long it will take before someone calls the police to have me carted off lol. Especially when I start the hissing!😂

any chance there are any links with subs for non english dialogue?

There isn’t more than a few sentences – I think it’s artsy, like a scene where you can see them speaking but can’t hear any dialog due to loud music for about 60 seconds.

An even bigger mind frak than season 1. And a work of art. Completely underrated by the critics and ignored by the awards.
Game of Thrones could kiss that Emmy goodbye if this or Counterpart was nominated.

This is a great show! Surprised me when I noticed that Brad Pitt was one of the producers.

My only complaint is that the seasons are too short. They should be at least 10 episodes long. 🙁 Eight is not enough.

This is my kind of shit right here! I wish there was more like this out there. I love Black Mirror too but this show beats the socks off that one.

Finished Season 2 a few hours ago, and I’m STILL reeling from all the ‘What-the-fuckery’!!! That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy this– I LOVED it! One of the only shows bold enough to just dive straight into crazy town and set up camp there. This is ambitious, profound, exciting, original storytelling… Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij are pure genius!

Do we like her character because of the amazing things she has done? Are we just being shown the delusions of a crazy girl, the events in her mind? My opinion of her chopped and changed as I struggled to work that out. We’re in the same position as those 5 followers. It’s brilliant as any judgement we make on them applies to us as we don’t know if what we saw/heard was based on the stories “reality” or her “reality”. Season 2 should tell us if we’ve fallen for an angel or a prank. The hint of the last scene doesn’t look too promising. We only know the history as she told it to the others and I didn’t see anything miraculous when in the present. I’d be dumbfounded too if confronted with a flash mob, lol. I feel closer to the 5 now and invested in their beliefs.

If you can’t find a comment, go to an episode page. Sometimes they get separated between the main show page and episode pages (any episode page).

Where did all my comments go? I wanted to correct something I said?

  • Episodes 7 and 8. I watched this 8 episode series in two days. It was excellent. If they do not renew for a second season, I felt leaving something to our own belief was a good wrap up.

  • Episode 6. Cliffhanger. I`m moving right along to next episode. Glad they are all here.

If anyone finds themselves disappointed by the ending I have a view that might rectify that completely. Shoot me a pm if you are in need. Just remember, this series is not about the obvious, or assumptions.

I delayed on the last two episodes, but finished now, and it was great! Some people I have read elsewhere didn’t like the end and thoroughly trashed the series based on that – I thought it was amazing. If it disappoints you then you have no imagination!

1-8: There is No Way to Predict the end of this story so just relax into the ride! I am so glad I didn’t google it while watching or read any IMDB reviews beforehand – the latter of I read incessantly before committing to many shows/movies. You have to hand it to these young actors. Just as in Netflix’s “Very Small Things,” they can hold their own against most current award-winning adults any day. And please hand it to Phyllis Smith who played BBA and created such a precious, brave and lovable character.

You know the scene toward the end of “Miracle on 35th Street” when little Natalie Wood is at the x-mas party and she’s a no-frills gal and doesn’t care about superfluous gift-giving or the dress-up Santa Claus and she keeps chanting, “I believe. I believe. I believe.” in a very non-committal way to help reinforce her faith in her new friend?
    I chant that a lot too: I believe. I believe. I believe.

1-7: Why does it keep doing this? Ending. I was kept holding my breath for so long I realized I was panting. Dork!
I don’t want to watch the next episode. I know I am going to cry… more! See, this is why I don’t watch horror films. Too sensitive, to caught up.
In college I took a sci-fi class. I needed some extra credits for my major during a summer session and the last thing I wanted to do was learn about sci-fi. I loathed it. Well, except for Logan’s Run, which I worshiped.
I ended up adoring it. Almost all sci-fi is are stories about origins. Who are we? Where did we come from? Why are we here? If your grade depends on how you interpret Sean Connery in Zardoz, you better get interested, real quick! Ha ha ha Many of these stories, think Space Odyssey 2001, even Zardoz go back to the womb. A celestial womb. There is imagery in O.A. just like that.
Technically, I would label O.A more Metaphysical or Magic Realism, not sci-fi. My favorite literature at the moment is magic realism. Think Murakami or my personal favorite, David Mitchell (he wrote Cloud Atlas). I am ab fab about both origin stories and spiritual stories as they are tied at the hip. I am not big on organized religion but give me a story like this, or heck, even Touched by an Angel back in the Day, and I am swept away, entirely gaga!
Noooo I don’t want an episode 8. Noooo, please don’t end. supersadfetalface.

1-5: Now I know you must ALL WATCH SOUND OF MY VOICE if you like this show.
It’s a continuation of Brit Marling’s and Al Batmanglij’s ideas. Word. It could use some diversity, however. That would be my biggest criticism and the lack of it stands out. There are 10 main characters and one of them is non-European white. And the crown of thorns and dirty white skivvies – Brilliant! Somehow through my tears (the almost heaving kind) I noticed that Brad Pitt is an executive producer – good on him!
I am not someone who has a faith or follows organized religion. But this I dig the mostest man! It brings me a sense of awe and wonder and touches me. I don’t know what show has to get edged out but this is now in my top 5 unless it disappoints which I don’t think it will.
Holy crap, drop everything batman because I cannot watch these in onesie-twosies anymore. I have to complete my journey…Now!

If you love this show, you must watch Sound of my Voice – it is a lot like this and uber mind-bending, and I mean uber! God I love her. I didn’t know until I just looked but she did Sound of my Voice with Zal Batmanglij – now I have to re-initiate my dictionary acquaintance with her work and her co-workers. She in an enchantressssss.

1:1 Holy Cow this is good! Good Sci-fi with a Brit Marling mark. I am already taken away after one episode! It reminds me of The Sound of my Voice (her work too). Same elements at this point anyway. I am going to have to watch from its source mainly to view a better copy, also to see if subtitles reveal some of what was said and avoid the ads that make me have to hit pause or play 2 times while microsoft trolls yell through my speakers. ugh.
I totes recommend already. I already took my ambien, so bummed.

Now if I can get 5 of you, who are strong, and agile and will leave your front doors open to watch with me… 😉

Lake Bell – she is someone else to watch. She writes, directs, is naturally gorgeous, and is a natural physical comedian. She is an extremely talented comedian. Her timing is on the spot and she has long limbs which add to the goofiness of a physical joke. Watch “In a World…” for Ms. Bell’s perfection and “The Sound of my Voice” or “Another Earth.” Lovelovelove all three of these films!

OMG – I love Brit Marlin sci-fi! She and Zal Batmanglij are the creators. Brit Marling can do IT ALL! She writes, directs, acts, loves sci-fi and is beautiful. I think in each one of the points she is quite talented, and well, the beautiful part, she lucked out on that score. I don’t want to say she is “extremely” talented on any of these points because there are so few women in the film business that get taken seriously and I am sure there are scores of extremely talented women like Brit Marling!
But in any case, she IS VERY TALENTED and can author an idea through its creation, its acting and through to its direction. That’s Talent!

I am beside myself with happiness!
